Static stellar atmospheres, stationary stellar winds, 1D, 2D, and 3D hydrodynamics, finite volume method, discontinuous Galerkin method, smoothed particle hydrodynamics, adaptive mesh refinement.
Conditions:
Basic knowledge in Physics and Mathematics. Knowledge of the physics / B.Sc. Module Einführung in die Astronomie und Astrophysik advised
Performance:
Two-hour lecture with two-hour exercise.
Target group:
Eligible lecture of the module Advanced Astronomy and Astrophysics (Physics/Master). Open also for all students with interest in astronomy and astrophysics.
Note:
Lehrveranstaltung besteht aus 2 SWS Vorlesung (Do 16 - 18 Uhr) ergänzt durch 2 SWS Übungen (Do 18 - 20 Uhr). Unterrichtssprache: deutsch / englisch
