The SPP 1992 Spring School 2024 was a great success

Many thanks to all participants, tutors and organisers of the 5-day workshop in Kiel!

The SPP 1992 “Exploring the Diversity of Extrasolar Planets” is a collaborative network of German researchers in the field of exoplanetary sciences. Its purpose is to bring together people from a varierty of subfields of exoplanetary research (formation, structure, atmospheres, dynamics of exoplanets and exoplanetary systems) and methods (observations, theory) to produce combined research that is more than the sum of its parts.

The Astrophysical Spring School 2024 took place in Kiel recently and was a great success! 35 participants worked intensively on the topic of ‘Stellar space weather and its impact on exoplanetary habitability’. The interdisciplinary workshop aimed to bring together experts from astrophysics, particle physics, solar/stellar physics, planetary sciences, and atmospheric chemistry/climate physics. We thank all attendees for the amazing collaboration.

Also many thanks to the great tutors: Julián Alvarado-Gómez, Karen Aplin,
Philipp Baumeister, Stefan Czesla, John Lee Grenfell, Eike Günther, Paul Rimmer, Sarah Rugheimer, Klaus Scherer, Adam Finley, Sebastian Wolf, Juandre Light and Konstantin Herbst.
