The TESS and CHEOPS space telescopes have discovered six planets on the star HD 110067, which is just over 100 light years away. They all orbit the star at times that are in an integer relationship with their respective neighbours and therefore form resonances.
If the positions of two neighbouring planets are connected at regular intervals, a unique pattern emerges for each pair. The resonance chain of the six planets together creates a fascinating geometric pattern. The planets are not shown to scale in relation to their central star.
