The annual meeting of the German Astronomical Society in Berlin is quickly approaching, taking place from 11th to 15th September, and it is full of exoplanet content, in part organized by the SPP 1992.
There will be a number of exoplanet-related plenary talks by Lena Noack, Kevin Heng, Laura Kreidberg, and of course we will have the splinter session on “Exploring the Diversity of Extrasolar Planets”, featuring invited talks by Christiane Helling, Monika Lendl, Sascha Quanz, and Andreas Quirrenbach, and a wide range of exoplanet subjects such as observational results, mission overviews, planet formation and atmospheres. Additionally, SPP members Ruth Titz-Weider and Ludwig Scheibe are contributing to the teachers’ advanced training course on Friday by giving an overview of exoplanet research.
So there is a lot of exoplanet material to be excited about and we are looking forward to meet enthusiastic members of the community in Berlin next week!
