Based on various parameters such as distance to the host star, size, and atmospheric composition, Patricia Klein has created various terrestrial planets here above. On the left is a lava planet that is particularly close to its star. In the middle you can see clouds and the hint of land masses. On the right an icy world is shown.
Differences in the appearance of gas giants can also be observed due to different parameters. In the following Patricia Klein has shown a cold Jupiter and a hot Jupiter with a tail. The tail is caused by the radiation pressure from the host star when the planet is particularly close. You can see the banding in the atmosphere very well here. This is due to different composition and wind speeds.
The SPP 1992 want to thank Patricia Klein for the great cooperation and the beautiful illustrations.
