‘Kinderuni’ in Kepler’s birthplace Weil der Stadt

The Kinderuni has existed in Weil der Stadt since 2006. It aims to make an offer to curious children who do not live in a university town and to provide them with intellectual input that cannot be dealt with in normal school lessons.

About 60 children came to learn about “The Wonderful World of Exoplanets” on April 27.

Despite an interruption by a fire alarm – thank God a false alarm – the children between 8 and 14 years were focused on the subject.

Many of them have been attending the Kinderuni for several semesters and already knew a lot about our planetary system.

The lecture presented the discovery of planets around other stars than our sun and future missions to answer the many questions about formation and discovery.
