Hands-on Numerical Astrophysics School for Exoplanetary Sciences

The SPP 1992 Exploring the Diversity of Extrasolar Planets is a collaborative network of German researchers in the field of exoplanetary sciences. Its purpose is to bring together people from a varierty of subfields of exoplanetary research (formation, structure, atmospheres, dynamics of exoplanets and exoplanetary systems) and methods (observations, theory) to produce combined research that is more than the sum of its parts. For this purpose the SPP 1992 organizes a summer school on Numerical Astrophysics for Exoplanetary Sciences.

The Astrophysical Summer School 2022 took place in Hanau recently and was a great success! 31 participants have worked theorically and also practically with different models for (exo)planet simulation. We thank all attendees for the amazing collaboration.

Also many thanks also to the great tutors: Lena Noack, Karan Molaverdikhani, Paul Molliere, Evert Nasedkin, Sareh Ataiee, Ludmila Carone, Aaron David Schneider, Anna Penzlin and Christoph Schaefer.
