At this year’s virtual Annual Meeting of the German Astronomical Society, our coordinator Heike Rauer organized a splinter meeting dedicated to the science questions addressed by the SPP 1992. The two-day splinter session “Exploring the diversity of extrasolar planets” was well-attended and showcased a lot of new scientific results. Laura Kreidberg, director at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy since 2020, and Yann Alibert, Professor at Universität Bern, gave invited talks about atmosphere characterization of Sub-Neptunes and Super-Earths and the Generation III Bern model, respectively.
