Open day at Thüringer Landessternwarte was a great success
There were over 1000 guests – only in 2001 there were more participants!
Visitors were able to enjoy the beautiful weather, the observatory and conversations with the scientists.
There was a lot to discover: The observatory operates three telescopes, the 2-m reflector telescope, the small automated telescope TEST (Tautenburg Exoplanet Search Telescope) and a radio telescope station.
Eike Günther, one of the members of SPP 1992 working there, presented a poster of the SPP 1992 with details about the scientific work around exoplanets.
