SPP 1992 Summer School: The third Tautenburg Course for Advanced Astronomical Observations

In the frame-work of the Priority Program “Exploring the Diversity of Extrasolar Planets” Tautenburg observatory is organizing an observing course for advanced students of SPP 1992 member institutions and institutions collaborating with member institutions. The course focuses on Echelle Spectroscopy. It includes lectures, observations, and data reduction.

Lectures and training on how to reduce the Echelle spectra will be given in the afternoon, and observations are carried out during the night. The students will work in teams and have opportunity to conduct their own research programs using the 2-m Alfred Jensch in Tautenburg.
