The lecture will provide an overview of the planets, moons and small bodies in our Solar System. Topics are: planetary dynamics, planetary surfaces, age determination, planet formation, interior structure and composition, atmospheres, magnetic fields, habitability, comets and asteroids, the icy moons, extra solar planets.
Conditions:
Basic knowledge in Physics and Mathematics. Knowledge of the physics / B.Sc. Module Grundlagen der Astronomie und Astrophysik advised

Target group:
Wählbare begleitende Vorlesung als Teil des Moduls Astronomie und Astrophysik im Masterstudiengang.
Hinweis: Das Modul erfordert zusätzlich eine weitere begleitende Vorlesung sowie einen astrophysikalischen Praktikumsschein. ECTS: 12 Leistungspunkte für das Gesamtmodul.
Sonstige Studierende mit Interesse an Astronomie und Astrophysik.
