Different astronomical topics especially related to observations with CCD cameras and astronomical spectroscopy: observations of stars and planets, CCD images, photometry, spectroscopy, astronomical data reduction.
Conditions:
Abgeschlossenes Vordiplom / B.Sc. in Physik, Mathematik, Informatik oder vergleichbaren Studiengängen. Teilnahme am OWL-Projekt Astronomische Beobachtungsmethoden mit einer CCD-Kamera oder ähnliche Erfahrungen im Umgang mit einer CCD-Kamera erwünscht.
Performance:
Four-hour practical course. Teamwork (small groups) on different astronomical topics.
The students are executing the study exercises at starry nights until 2011-03-31.
Target group:
Postgraduate practical course on astronomy and astrophysics. Practical part of the module Astronomy and Astrophysics (Physics/Master). One can choose - if possible - between the Astrophysical practical course and Astrophysical practical course (Astronomy and spectroscopy).
Open also for all students with interest in astronomy and astrophysics.

Empowering to participate is limited and is done in sequence of registration!
